Beckham ARTS Foundation
The purpose of the Foundation is to enhance and support the fine arts, performing arts and overall educational experience at Lucy Beckham High School. To assist the Director in Music to develop a closer connection between parents, students and teachers with excellence in music education, performance skills and leadership in our students. The Foundation accomplishes this by providing financial, logistical, and moral support in a balanced fashion for all these programs and the
students who participate in them. This Foundation includes Orchestra, Chorus, Theatre, Dance and Visual Arts. It allows our staff to focus on developing the talent of our students by coordinating activities and by providing additional resources where necessary. We work closely with the ARTS Staff, who are also members of the Foundation, to assist them in whatever way possible.
In this day of cut backs and fund decreases, it is essential that we supplement the limited funds that are allocated to the ARTS budget in order to enhance the educational experience of our students. The best thing you can do is become active in our Foundation. That doesn’t mean you have to volunteer for everything, but your participation is encouraged and appreciated, starting with your membership enrollment.
It takes an army of volunteers to make things run smoothly for the programs and although they won’t admit it, your kids actually like having their parents involved in activities!
